The process of removing an old mattress with the intention of disposal or recycling. Most mattresses can be recycled and that is the preferred method of mattress removal today. Some landfills no longer accept mattresses and if they do, there may be a large fee for disposal. Instead, a recycling company may use nearly all the old mattress by dismantling it and using the materials for other products. Professional mattress removal services will transport the used mattress to the recycling center.
