Did you know that one tree can filter up to 60 pounds of pollutants from the air each year? And each ton of recycled paper saves 17 trees? Last year EarthTech recycled enough paper to save more than 15-thousand trees. That’s over 900-thousand pounds of air pollutants not affecting our community last year.

Benefits

Recycling provides the obvious benefit to the environment by reducing our use of natural resources; however, it also saves you tax dollars by reducing the disposal costs incurred by your municipality for dumping at your landfill.

Acceptable Items

We collect and recycle:

• Plastic (#1 or #2 plastic. These are primarily clear or white milk containers, soda and/or detergent bottles)
• Paper (Newspaper, magazines, computer and fax paper)
• Cardboard
• Glass (Includes all clear, brown, or green glass jars and bottles)
• Metal (Tin, steel, and aluminum cans)
